About AUTURA

Every minute on the roadside is a risk. We're here to change that.

Autura builds software for the officers, dispatchers, tow operators, and impound teams who work around the clock to keep communities moving — connecting the complete towing lifecycle, from dispatch to disposition.

Our Mission

Keep communities moving

Autura’s mission is to keep communities moving. When communities move freely and safely, society thrives. Autura builds software for the people who keep communities moving — law enforcement officers, tow operators, dispatchers, and impound lot owners who work around the clock to restore and sustain movement on community roadways.

Why It Matters

Roadside risks we can't ignore

4.65 days
An emergency first responder or roadside worker is struck and killed on America’s roadways every 4.65 days1
15x
Tow operators face an on-the-job fatality rate up to 15 times higher than the national average across all industries2
~64%
of tow operator fatalities occur when they're struck by passing traffic while working on the side of the road2

These numbers can and must be lowered, and we want to be part of that effort. We build technology and support organizations, legislation, and individuals working toward the same goal — including Vision Zero’s efforts to eliminate traffic fatalities, Slow Down Move Over awareness campaigns for the towing and recovery community, and towing associations nationwide.

Our Story

Formed to solve a fragmented industry

Autura’s name reflects what we do and why we do it: “Auto” grounds us in the automotive and towing industry we serve, and “Tura” is a Latin-based nod to energy and forward motion.

Shaped by a 2024 merger with TRAXERO and other acquisitions, Autura recognized an opportunity to solve a dangerous, costly problem: the systems and processes that public safety agencies and towing operators relied on were fragmented and outdated, leading to slow response times and disconnected communication.

That’s what brought these teams together as Autura, a company focused on providing purpose-built frontline technology that makes towing operations — from dispatch to disposition — faster, safer,
and more transparent.
