Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions. Quick answers.

What is Autura Marketplace?

Autura Marketplace is a digital auction platform connecting unclaimed vehicle sellers — towing companies, impound lots, and municipal agencies — with a nationwide network of verified buyers. Sellers list vehicles and buyers bid on them, all through one, standardized platform.

Who can sell on Autura Marketplace?

All Autura Marketplace sellers must be verified by Autura before listing. The platform is built for towing companies, impound lot operators, municipal agencies, fleet operators, and insurance companies disposing of unclaimed or end-of-life vehicles.

How do payments work?

All transactions go through Autura Verified Payments (AVP). The full balance is secured at the time of sale. Buyers pay through AVP, and funds are released to sellers automatically when transactions are complete.

How do I know the vehicle information is accurate?

Every listing on Autura Marketplace uses enforced condition fields. This means sellers are required to provide standardized information and images for every vehicle. This gives buyers consistent vehicle information.

Can I search for specific vehicles?

Yes. You can filter by make, model, price range, condition, and location. You can also save your searches and receive notifications whenever new matching vehicles go live.

Is it free to register?

Yes. Creating an account is free for both buyers and sellers. Buyers pay platform fees at the time of purchase. Sellers pay no listing fees (buyers cover the platform fees).

Who can buy on Autura Marketplace?

Any registered buyer can browse and bid. The platform serves auto dealers, salvage yards, dismantlers, exporters, and individual buyers looking for specific vehicles.

How does sales tax work?

Autura Marketplace manages sales tax collection and remittance automatically through Avalara. Neither buyers nor sellers need to track, calculate, or remit sales tax on their own.

How quickly do vehicles sell?

Autura Marketplace runs on-demand auctions. This means every vehicle gets its own dedicated listing the moment it's ready, rather than waiting for a bulk auction event. Vehicles are sold on their own timeline.

How do I get started?
