HOUSTON, TX — November 2, 2026 — Autura, the vertical SaaS company serving towing and recovery, government and public safety, and unclaimed vehicle auction operators, today corrected false statements in recent news coverage of its work with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). Autura did not have a fair chance to respond before those stories ran.

Autura has provided software and support for LVMPD’s towing program for ten years. When LVMPD issued a new request for proposals for towing support, Autura submitted a response. That response answered every question LVMPD asked, including its questions about actual or potential conflicts of interest.

Reports that Autura recently owned a towing company now serving LVMPD are false. Autura does not own or control any towing company, and it does not own tow trucks, impound lots or anything else used to perform tows.

“Integrity is at the center of how we serve our customers. We answered every conflict-of-interest question LVMPD asked us. Any suggestion that Autura hid a conflict is wrong.” — Rudy Nieto, CEO, Autura

How Aries Supports Agency Towing Programs

Autura is a software company. Agencies use Aries, Autura’s towing platform, to request tows, send each call to a towing company, track the job until the road is clear and manage each vehicle from impound to release. Every assignment in Aries follows the program’s rules and is logged with a timestamp, so the agency can review how each call was handled. Agencies using Aries have cut tow response times in half, and faster clearance means safer roads and shorter backups for everyone who drives through.

Autura will keep working with LVMPD and the towing companies in its program to clear Las Vegas roads quickly and safely and to help residents get their vehicles back.
